Ofsted Reports
St Mark’s had a Section 8 Inspection in October 2017. A Section 8 inspection (short inspection) is carried out for those schools who were previously judged to be ‘good’. It takes place to confirm that the school is carrying out the work to a good standard. At the end of the process, assuming that the school is still good, a letter, not a report, is written to confirm this fact. Individual judgements are not made for each category.
The Ofsted team yet again judged St Mark’s to be is a good school with outstanding features.
The Ofsted Inspection in July 2013 judged St Mark’s school to be a ‘good school with outstanding features’ namely:
· The achievement of pupils in ALL Key Stages is GOOD
· The quality of teaching at ALL Key Stages is GOOD
· The quality of leadership and management is GOOD
· The standards of behaviour and safety are OUTSTANDING
Please see the full Ofsted Inspection report / letter below to read about why we are all so proud to be a part of St Mark’s.
The latest Section 48 Inspection on behalf of BRES (Brentwood Religious Education Service) took place in November 2018 when St Mark’s school was judged to be ‘an outstanding school’.
Please see the full BRES Inspection to discover why the inspectors were impressed with our calm, welcoming school.
