A Level Results Press Release 2024
St Mark’s celebrate another excellent A Level results day.
It has been another strong of results for students at St Mark’s with some fantastic individual achievements. Students were delighted with their outcomes and nearly all have secured their first university choices or have met the conditions required for Degree Apprenticeships, employment or other apprenticeships and training. Headteacher John Taylor said “I am so delighted for everyone involved in the outcomes today. These results reflect the hard work of the young people, the support of their families and the dedication of their teachers. I could not be more pleased for them and, as ever, it has been an absolute privilege to share their journey. We look forward to hearing of what they achieve in the future”.
Mohaned Beshaya (A*A*A)
Mohaned achieved his grades in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. He is waiting for confirmation on his first choice of medical school. Mohaned said “I am very happy, I put a lot of hard work in and it paid off”.
Holli Battelley A*AA)
Holli achieved fantastic grades in Psychology, Sociology and Law. She has secured a place at the University of Surrey to read Law with Criminology. Reacting to her results Holli thanked her teachers and said “I am so shocked; all my hard work has paid off and it was worth it. A Levels are the hardest thing I have done but the rewards are amazing”.
Tamsin Lee (A*AB)
Tamsin gained some excellent results in Politics, History and English Literature that have enabled her to go to the University of Durham to read Politics. A delighted Tamsin said “these results don’t feel real, but they are the result of lots of hard work. I am so grateful for the help I had in this school”.
Rebekah Pike (AAA)
Rebekah achieved exceptionally good grades in German, History and Theology. A delighted Rebekah has secured a place at the University of Leeds to read History. Commenting on her achievements Rebekah said “I am over the moon, I am so happy with my results and really looking forward to university”.
Polina Halinauskas (ABC)
Polina achieved three very good grades in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry and has secured a place at the University of Cardiff to read Dental Technology. Polina said “I am really pleased with my results and pleased to be in university. My advice to everyone doing A Levels is work hard and start early”.
Alicia Mphumhira (ABB)
Alicia achieved her excellent grades in Sociology, Psychology and Theology. Next year she will be reading Business with HR at the University of Leeds. Alicia said “I am overwhelmed and so happy with my results. I worked hard for them and was supported so well”.
McKenzie Russell (BBC)
McKenzie achieved his grades in Product Design, Economics and Geography. He is looking forward to reading Economics at the University of Essex next year. McKenzie said that he was “pleased with his results and excited about university”
Jorens Rakis (AAB)
Jorens shone with his results and has secured a place at Univesity College London to read Geography Jorens achieved his grades in Product Design, German and Geography. Reflecting on his results Jorens had this to say “I am really pleased with my results and I am looking forward to pushing on. I am excited to read Geography at university. I enjoyed my time at St Mark’s and was proud to be the Head Boy. Everyone should be proud today, A Levels are tough and well done to everyone. I would like to thank the school for 7 years of support”.
Bliss Webber (BBC)
Head Girl Bliss achieved her grades in German, Law and Economics and has secured a Degree Apprenticeship with Rolls Royce based in Bristol. It was a highly competitive process and Bliss said “I am so excited and so grateful for all the help I had here”.
